Project Overview
A full-featured college management system deployed at MacWish College of Health and Allied Sciences in Mwanza. The platform digitises all academic and administrative operations from admissions to graduation, supporting multiple user roles including administrators, lecturers, students, and parents.
The Challenge
The college was running entirely on spreadsheets and paper registers. Student records were duplicated, fee collection was slow and error-prone, and producing end-of-semester reports took weeks. Growing enrolment numbers made the manual approach unsustainable.
Our Solution
ASL developed a custom web-based School Management System with modules for student enrolment and records, timetabling, continuous assessment, fee invoicing and collection, SMS parent notifications, staff portal, library management, and executive dashboards. The system was deployed on the college's own servers with full data migration from legacy spreadsheets.
Results Achieved
Administrative workload reduced by 80%. Fee processing time cut from days to minutes. End-of-semester transcripts generated in seconds. Zero data reconciliation errors in first academic year. System now serves 1,200+ active students across all programmes.
